Almost Lost

Obie Trice, a protege of Eminem, was shot early Saturday in Detroit while driving on a city highway, police said.

Someone in another car shot through the back window of the 28-year-old Trice’s vehicle as he drove along the Lodge Freeway around 1:10 a.m., said Michigan State Police Sgt. Mario Gonzales.

The Detroit native managed to continue driving and got off the freeway in the suburb of Southfield, where his girlfriend, also in the vehicle, flagged down police, Gonzales said. The girlfriend wasn’t wounded.

Police didn’t release where the bullet struck Trice. He was taken to Providence Hospital, where he was treated and released, said hospital spokesman Brian Taylor.

There were no suspects in the shooting, which was under investigation by state police detectives, Gonzales said.

Trice also has rapped with 50 Cent. His 2003 debut album “Cheers” was produced by Eminem, and he also had a small part in the feature film “8 Mile,” which starred Eminem.

The Best Female MC

I was jus sittin’ here listenin to my music when i started thynkin. Hmmmmmmmmmm…… I wonder why you never here the female mc’s arguing whos the queen of the south, whos the queen of new york, whos running this rap game, whos the illest mc since the Notorious One was laid to rest. Is it because they dont care bout titles or they just tryna show the world they can hang wit the big boys. So i started thynkin maybe ill ask yall, and yall can teell me, so if there was a queen to sit along side the king and the illest who would be the queen of hip hop/rap. Would it be Missy Elliot, Foxxy Brown, Lil’ Kim, Trina, Eve, or MC Lyte. If I didnt name some one you thynk should have this title then you put them on jumpstreet and tell why they should have the title.

Freed Pimp C

Well all the “Free Pimp C” chanting and t-shirts worked, he finally got out December 30, so im guessing we can expect a new album around this time next year or sooner from Mr.Pimp and Bun.

After almost four years in prison, underground rap star Pimp C became a free man just before noon today (Dec. 30), according a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Pimp C, half of the acclaimed Texas duo Underground Kingz, or UGK, was released a month after he was granted parole. He served about half of an eight-year sentence on an aggravated assault charge.

Since his incarceration in January 2002, “Free Pimp C” has been a rallying call for rappers and UGK fans across the country. Numerous rap stars have appeared in music videos and at concerts and awards shows clad in gear sporting the phrase.

Remember tha Days

Well i was visiting this random blog that i usually go every once and a while and i saw this article on SuperHead suing Mr.Marcus over sum kinda bullshit, and being that im only 15 and my mind is spaced out i probably thynk different then everyone else. So as i said i was reading and i finished the article but i couldnt stop sayin super but then i got this lisp where i cant say r sound right so super kept soundin lyke supa(sooooooooooopa) and that sound took me back to a childhood memory of me stayin in these apartments and every sunday i thynk this tv show by Eddie Murphy came on, it was called the PJs, that was an awesome show, one of the funniest animated shows in my opinion, but all good thyngs come to an end and so did that show, but that void is filled by the Boondocks, so i guess ill go back to my childhood that im missing because of the freakin internet.

What’s Really Goin On Bow

Welcome to another edition of “Whats Really Goin’ On” where we showcase celebrities misteps, today we have the young rapper Bow Wow who new video “Fresh AzImIz” is suppose to show everyone that hes not Lil Bow Wow anymore he’s big Bow Wow now. I personally find the video amusing cuz i thynk he’s trying too hard with his “Im grown and I can do whateva” persona that he’s putting out there. People would buy his album and support him more if he didnt try so hard but thats just my opinion for all i kno bow wow might be the biggest thing in rap this year and if thats the case then i jus missed the whole movement.

Now here i have exhibits A-F showcasin what seems out of place in the video.

Exhibit A- The video models they were tastefully done in this video not a lot of the booty shakin’ and they were dress he’s tryna ease us into his new phase of manhood.

Exhibit B-the Body ARt, i kno hes been gettin inked little by little but in the video hes showin it off and then he got his yea im gangsta lyke dat look own doin it, if only i could be so lucky to be that gangsta.

Exhibit C-He has his (these are Bow’s words from XXL) hood artist Mr.Mike Jizones, to help get him some hood perspective (Bows Words)

Exhibit D- Cristal/Champagne whatcha wanna call it had a lil clip of that knowin this his 1st year gettin up in the clubs but last tyme my lil sister checked you only 18, that means yo ass goin to jail for 24 hours for undearge drinking.

Exhibit E- Probably the 2nd funniest thing in the video the “yea im grown and im hittin Uncle Ciara every night” air booty smack wasnt expectin that.

Exhibit F-Last but not least the grill it was the funniest thing to me cuz wasnt 3expectin him to be all grillin’ me in the video, wonder if he got my boi Paul Wall do hook him up cuz then he’d be even more hood.
